Nocquet André NOCQUET André

André Nocquet was Born on July the 30th 1914. He discovered martial arts and  the JuJitsu at the age of 16.

In 1937, he met Master Kawashi, the founder of Judo in France. He got his black belt for Judo and self defense (n° 27) in 1946.

In 1951, he discovered Aikido with Master Minoru Mocliziuki, and continued with   Tadashi Abe up to his Shodan (1 st dan) on Mai the 1 St 1954.

He was recomended by Tadachi Abe to O Sensei in june 1955, he joined him as Uchi Deshi (student sharing the life of the Founder), until December 1957.

He came back from Japan in 1958 with his 3rd dan. In April 1962 O-Senseï elevated him up to 5th dan and named him France's representant of the Aikikai.

He obtained his 7th dan, on July thé 6th 1973, from Master Hirokazu Kobayashi, and he became 8th dan in 1979.

He did collaborate avec Master Tamura to unify the différents syles of Aikido in   France.

     He passed away on March the 12 th 1999, aged 85.
