Martial arts historian. Co-author of the massive reference work Bugei Ryuha Daijiten (Encyclopedia of Martial Arts Schools). This Japanese-language work, published in 1978, contains a record of most of those persons having received the KYOJU DAIRI from Sokaku TAKEDA and a lineage tracing the arts derived from Daito-ryu aikijujutsu.
